Fundamental Skills
- Electrical engineering principles: Understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, and electromagnetism.
- Electrical codes and standards: Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Electrical safety procedures: Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and personal protective equipment.
Design and Installation
- Electrical design software: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM).
- Cable sizing and selection: Ability to size and select electrical cables for various applications.
- Electrical panel design and installation: Knowledge of electrical panel design and installation, including wiring, circuit breakers, and grounding.
- Electrical distribution systems: Understanding of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and busbars.
Testing and Commissioning
- Electrical testing and commissioning: Knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning procedures, including circuit
testing, insulation resistance testing, and earth fault loop impedance testing. - Troubleshooting electrical systems: Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including identifying and resolving faults.
- Electrical measurement and testing equipment: Familiarity with electrical measurement and testing equipment (e.g.,
multimeters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters).
Project Coordination:
- Assist the Design team in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time
Site Management:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure site safety and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with site engineer, contractors, and other to resolve site-related issue
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including documentation, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist with project reporting, including progress reports.
- Coordinate regarding site visit schedule, meetings, and other logistical activities for project team members.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with project team, including contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Communicate project updates, progress, and issues to the project team.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement project recovery plans.
