Fundamental Skills

  1. Electrical engineering principles: Understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, and electromagnetism.
  2. Electrical codes and standards: Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  3. Electrical safety procedures: Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and personal protective equipment.

Design and Installation

  1. Electrical design software: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM).
  2. Cable sizing and selection: Ability to size and select electrical cables for various applications.
  3. Electrical panel design and installation: Knowledge of electrical panel design and installation, including wiring, circuit breakers, and grounding.
  4. Electrical distribution systems: Understanding of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and busbars.

Testing and Commissioning

  1. Electrical testing and commissioning: Knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning procedures, including circuit
    testing, insulation resistance testing, and earth fault loop impedance testing.
  2. Troubleshooting electrical systems: Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including identifying and resolving faults.
  3. Electrical measurement and testing equipment: Familiarity with electrical measurement and testing equipment (e.g.,
    multimeters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters).

Project Coordination:

  1. Assist the Design team in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities.
  2. Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
  3. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time

Site Management:

  1. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  2. Ensure site safety and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  3. Coordinate with site engineer, contractors, and other to resolve site-related issue

Administrative Tasks:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including documentation, reports, and correspondence.
  2. Assist with project reporting, including progress reports.
  3. Coordinate regarding site visit schedule, meetings, and other logistical activities for project team members.

Communication and Collaboration:

  1. Liaise with project team, including contractors, suppliers, and clients.
  2. Communicate project updates, progress, and issues to the project team.
  3. Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement project recovery plans.
